My great-grandmother, Erma, wrote on this picture. From left to right: Nancy (Abby) Almy (Erma’s grandmother), Arthur Almy (Erma’s father), Margaret (Hagerl) Almy (Erma’s mother) and unknown. This was taken in the first half of 1919 as Margaret died in July.
Late 1920’s
I love this dress of my great-grandmother’s! It is, in fact, her wedding dress. I don’t know if this was on her wedding day though as the year is a bit off. Nonetheless, I was happy to see that someone in the family has this amazing dress still.
This picture is a mystery to me. I have no idea who this could be! It was in a photo album my great-grandmother made for her son, my grandfather. However, that side of the family doesn’t have ties to Three Rivers, MI (at least not that I have found). My grandfather did marry into a family that has ties there though so I wonder if maybe my grandmother put the picture in the album. Still, it’s the only one if that is the case. A mystery for the moment.
